On Saturday 12th May 2018 Baobab College hosts the first annual Baobab Academic Olympiad. This blog has been created by Baobab students to keep you up to date with the event and to let you know the exciting things that happen on the day. We look forward to welcoming students, teachers, and parents to our school to take part in a series of academic challenges – a brainiac pentathlon! We are also hosting the Zambian qualifiers for the National Schools Quiz Competition, to be filmed in South Africa later this year.

 

The Baobab Academic Olympiad will be a series of challenges for school teams. Schools will compete in a Design and Technology Challenge, Maths Challenge, Science Challenge, Scrabble Challenge and Chess Challenge. These will happen across Baobab’s beautiful campus with lots of events taking place outside. Games and challenges are also available for parents and visitors who want to have a go without taking part as a team – a fun event for the family. Registration is at 08:30 with challenges starting at 09:00hrs. Registration is now open for schools wanting to take part.
